Shop Local This Holiday Season in Wickford Village
If you're looking for a quant little New England village without traveling far this holiday season, I highly recommend checking out Wickford Village in North Kingstown. Established in 1709, it has an adorable Main Street right on the water with a few restaurants and unique boutiques. My mom and I have made this our favorite meeting place this fall and it's been nice to walk around the adjoining streets to see the historic homes and churches, the beautiful water views, and of course to support some local businesses. Now more than ever in these difficult times, it's so important to shop local if you can. Just last Sunday morning, the town was being decorated with Christmas trees and wreaths all along Main Street and it reminded me of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Here are a few recommendations on must-see places while visiting Wickford Village.

Breakfast/Lunch
Wickford on the Water - Best sit down breakfast as well as Bloody Marys and great ocean view! I love that they offer outdoor dining with heaters at almost every table. Right now they are offering a gift card special - purchase $50 in gift cards and get a $10 gift card free!

Alma Juice Bar & Market - Best grab and go breakfast! I enjoyed a warm bacon egg and cheese on a brioche roll along with a Kneads donut. My mom had a hot cocoa and loved it. Everything is so fresh! Thanks to a few outdoor tables and chairs we were able to enjoy your breakfast outside on the side walk taking in the views.
Shayna's Place - Another adorable coffee shop featuring delicious coffee, smoothies, açaí bowls, and amazing sandwiches!
Small Shops
Teddy Bearskins - An adorable and unique clothing store offering just about everything - clothes, shoes, baptism outfits, toys, books, games, you name it! It's a wonderful shop if you're looking to do some holiday shopping for little ones. I also love that they offer complimentary gift wrapping so it's one less thing you have to worry about and it always looks adorable.
Beauty and the Bath - If you're looking for stocking stuffers or to treat yourself, Beauty and the Bath offers a hand curated selection of fine soaps and toiletries from companies such as Crabtree and Evelyn, Thymes, Terra Nova, Primal Elements, and more. They feature lotions, bubble baths, fragrances, candles, body wash, and other personal care must-haves. All the brands they carry are made in the USA and never tested on animals. My coworker mentioned purchasing the shower bombs as stocking stuffers and I think I'll be doing the same this year!

Sprigs - Check out this lovely shop for all of your floral arrangements including plants, plant accessories as well as a variety of unique gifts.
Spring Pottery - I am going to do my best to shop local this season and Spring Pottery is such a lovely shop owned by Harry and Elizabeth Spring. They make a large variety of functional pottery including many styles of bowls as well as vases, pike baking dishes, platters, mugs and more.

Winery
Gooseneck Vineyards - Headquartered in Wickford Village, Gooseneck Vineyards is a family owned business that proudly produces wines from all over the globe. Walking into the shop you are immediately greeted with a sweet scent, beautiful decor, and a variety of bottles of wine to taste in the shop or purchase. If you're looking for a low key place to meet friends or go out with your significant other for a tasting, this is the go-to place as it's quiet, relaxing, and so different from other wineries around. If it's a nice day, you can enjoy the wine on their outdoor patio. The packaging on their wines is beautiful and reminds me of summer in Newport. It's the perfect place to buy some wine and merchandise if you're looking for a gift this holiday season!

My mom and I also love to meet for walks around town like I mentioned!
